WEBINAR a feature of PTonline.com Thursday, April 27th 2:00 PM EST WATCH ON-DEMAND NOW AT: short.ptonline.com/Coperion17 Tips and Tricks to More Effectively Feed Difficult Materials in Co-rotating Twin Screw Extruders Effectively feeding materials into a co-rotating twin screw extruder is an area where even small improvements can lead to increased throughput rate and prof- itability. High bulk density and large particle size materials tend to feed easily, however problems can arise when dealing with more challenging materials such a fine powders, easily fluidizing materials, odd shaped particles or sticky mate- rials. This webinar will present various techniques and tips to designing feed systems and twin screw extruders to overcome many of these challenges. PRIMARY TOPICS: • Configuring feed systems for difficult feeding materials PRESENTER Alex Utracki Director, Process Technology • Configuring the twin screw extruder for difficult feeding materials Alex Utracki is Director of Process Technology for Coperion's Compounding and Extrusion division. His team is responsible for the execution of twin screw extrusion trials at the process lab in Pitman, NJ as well as providing technical support for process development, new machine sales and existing customers. Alex holds a BS in Chemical Engineering.
